Current Projects
As a partnership we are driven by making an impact and inspiring change. Through our projects we strive to create an environment where there is freedom and support to try, fail, learn and share. We consider ourselves as much a part of the community as the community itself
Household model
The Household Model is a way of working in communities that seeks to reduce health inequalities and empower households to care for themselves and others. This is a flexible model that can be adapted to different contexts
LPWP Helpline
A helpline service that started during the Covid-19 pandemic offering guidance in Portuguese to those in need of support, i.e. employment, social benefits and the rising cost of living. These services are provided by LPWP partners and other organisations
Cancer prevention and early diagnosis
LPWP is currently working with the NHS South East London Cancer Alliance (SELCA) on community-led sessions aimed to inform, provide awareness and engage with the Portuguese speaking communities
Celebrating Culture and Identity in Lambeth
This project aims to bring together people from diverse parts of the community to celebrate what it is to be a Lambeth resident. With a wide range of activities that celebrate culture from Portuguese-speaking cultures and diversity such as cooking sessions, dance and an opportunity to share stories and experiences
